About your role:
Join the Clover team as an experienced Android Developer to build, certify, and operate the complex payment systems that run on our smart terminals and process millions of transactions daily. What you’ll do:
- Design and implement solutions that span Android applications, Inter CPU communication, RTOS, and payment kernels.
- Develop and integrate new payment features into our products, including dynamic currency conversion, offline support, and mobile wallets like Apple Pay and Android Pay.
- Take ownership of specific payment components, ensuring their reliability and performance across different device types.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system integration issues and triage bugs related to payment applications and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product Management to clarify specifications, and work closely with international certification and test organizations.
- Perform production support services as part of a regular on-call rotation.

Experience you’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, and/or equivalent military experience.
- 2-5+ years of software development experience.
- Must have work experience with a strong focus on architecture and design of Android devices and platforms.
- Proficiency in at least two of the major programming languages used in AOSP (Java, C, C++, Kotlin).
- Android app development experience using Kotlin and native.
- UI development, optimal performance, and adaptation to various screen sizes.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of revision control and code review tools like Git, Gerrit etc.
- General understanding of security protocols, encryption/decryption technologies, PKI, HSM, certificates management.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Embedded/MCU/ARM Cortex development, RTOS, C language experience.
- Previous experience in the payments industry, specifically working with EMVco or exposure to PCI/PTS standards, would be very helpful but is not required.
How you’ll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
