At Lockheed Martin's RMS business, we are working on many exciting defense programs and developing cutting edge products and applications to meet the complex and evolving needs of our customers. A major portion of our work includes writing robust software and firmware applications and doing some very impressive modeling and simulations for these exciting and mission critical programs. We are currently looking to fill roles on the Mission Planner DevSecOps Engineering Team.
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer Intern. The Systems Engineer Intern will be responsible for analysis, design, integration, and test. Tasking will include development of mission critical software and hardware requirements. The candidate will be responsible for development of requirements using SysML diagrams and constructs. The candidate will also complete systems engineering related tasks to meet cost, schedule and technical objectives. Knowledge of system engineering process desired. Experience with the Java and/or C/C++ programming language, algorithm and software development is desired.
Performs requirements development, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for large scale systems. Performs data analysis and code inspection in C++ and/or Java to troubleshoot element and system level issues. Works in a team environment on one or more of the following areas: analysis, requirements development, design, modeling, simulation, integration, and test. Interfaces with the customer in performing test and evaluation activities, and interfaces with internal software teams to isolate and fix issues. Supports testing groups and performs waterfront installation and testing in-port or at-sea as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
-Pursuing a B.S. in Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $55,806 - $64,168 . For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
