Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The Senior Manager of Finance will be part of the Financial Contract Reporting Group in NBCU’s Film Finance Organization.
The Role
The Financial Contract Reporting Group compiles, analyzes, and evaluates financial information coming through from various sources to the Participations reporting system (PARIS) and prepares/distributes participation accounting statements and payments in compliance with contractual agreements and deadlines.
The successful candidate will gain knowledge of various aspects of reporting and perform work that can range from highly complex to highly administrative. The individual will gain expertise in all facets of the Made for Television, Theatrical and Home Video statement accounting process to handle various analytical, administrative, and management functions. This individual will also seek to find new efficiencies in department processes and procedures and integrate new available technology to the reporting process. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Manage various aspects of Participation Statement Reporting from the analysis and calculation all the way through cash pacing, payment, and statement delivery.
- Lead and train staff
- Review statements prior to issuance to ensure contractual compliance and data integrity along with approving payments to the contractual party within contractual deadlines.
- Interface with internal finance, disbursement groups and legal teams to address potential data, payment and contractual discrepancies including vendor set up and change management.
- Manage the process for any special payments such as Audit Settlements, Advances, and Bonuses.
- Learn and evaluate the current reporting process to ascertain efficiency and work with Financial Contract Administration, Data Staging and the Process Analytics Team to improve process efficiency while maintaining controls.
- Maintain open communication with other areas of FCAR such as Residuals, PARIS IT and Theatrical reporting to ensure any information that may impact Television participations is shared and communicated to the various stakeholders.
- Provide support and research related to third party audits and litigation. Communicate with external Legal and/or Financial Management firms on contractual or statement questions and issues.
- Assist with Special Projects as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Background with at least 4 years of participations, accounting, or finance experience in the entertainment industry.
- Ability to work independently as well as the ability to effectively communicate and lead a team is essential for success in this role.
- Solid knowledge of Excel and SAP, PARIS experience preferred.
- Experience in working with IT in developing system enhancements.
- Excellent Communication Skills with staff, external customers, and internal stakeholders.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
