Leidos is seeking a Lead Solution Architect (LSA) to join our FEDSIM delivery team in support of high-priority corporate and strategic growth initiatives within our federal portfolio. This role is part of Capture Operations and Excellence and operates within the FEDSIM Center of Excellence (CoE). The LSA will support corporate and sector FEDSIM opportunities. FEDSIM opportunities range from $300 million to over $1 billion in total contract value.
Primary responsibilities include early customer engagement to gain insights, validate potential solutions, and establish Leidos value proposition and capabilities aligned to customer requirements, needs, issues, concerns and objectives.
While this role offers remote flexibility, occasional travel to Leidos offices in Reston, VA, and the Washington, DC metro area may be required to support solutioning and is required in support of executing live proposal opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
Lead the development of innovative, executable, customer-focused solutions that position Leidos for success on complex, large-scale opportunities.
Support early client engagement for the purpose of understanding the customer and emerging requirements.
Lead technical discussions with customers, ensuring solutions align with government objectives, address challenges, and fulfill Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
Leverage the FEDSIM procurement cycle to execute an Agile delivery model including release and sprint planning, weekly sprints, and retrospectives in collaboration with CoE members.
Develop and refine solution maturity across technical approaches, win themes, features, benefits, and outcomes aligned with our technical approach.
Manage Task Leads and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) supporting task areas.
Ensure the solution is integrated and consistent across all proposal delivery artifacts.
Analyze and integrate information from previous solicitations, Requests for Information (RFIs), Market Assessment Discussions (MADs), Electronic Reading Rooms (eRRs), draft PWS, Section H, and final Task Order Request (TOR) documents.
Incorporate insights from FEDSIM sessions, including industry days, market assessments, due diligence, symposiums, events, and trade shows.
Apply Leidos’s Solution Development Framework (SDF) to guide cross-functional teams—integrating systems engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure expertise to create solutions that are compliant, differentiated, and aligned with customer missions and evaluation criteria.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, IT, business, or a related field and 12+ years of industry experience (10+ years with a Masters, 8+ years with a PhD).
5+ years of experience developing successful technical solutions for large-scale U.S. Federal Government proposals.
2+ years of experience supporting/working FEDSIM opportunities in a lead position.
Proven ability to lead independently and collaboratively across matrixed teams, including technical SMEs, proposal managers, capture teams, and program leadership.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience crafting compelling proposal content and articulating solution strategies in written and oral presentations.
Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
Broad technical expertise with deep knowledge of federal mission needs and solution design.
Willingness to work onsite during critical proposal periods (especially post-Final TOR release), including potential evenings and weekends.
Ability to obtain Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Desired Qualifications
10+ years of experience in solution architecture and proposal development.
5+ years of experience supporting FEDSIM opportunities.
Familiarity with U.S. Federal Government customer sectors and their mission priorities.
TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance eligibility.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
