About Your Role
As aSenior Advisor, Software Architecture, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and executing software architecture strategies that align with Fiserv’s business goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring our solutions are scalable, secure, and resilient. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver architectures that support the evolving needs of the financial services industry.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of software architecture strategies and frameworks.
- Partner with business units to ensure architectural alignment with strategic objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on software solutions and integration across diverse platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to drive business performance.
- Develop and maintain architectural models, blueprints, and documentation.
- Mentor junior architects, promoting best practices and architectural excellence.
- Note: Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
Experience You’ll Need
- 8+ years of experience in software architecture.
- 4+ years of experience in software development and integration using Java, C#, or Python.
- 4+ years of experience in technology integration and solution design.
- 4+ years of experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or military background totaling 8+ years.
Preferred Experience
- Expertise in containerized applications using Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes services, service meshes (e.g., Istio), and infrastructure automation with Terraform.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, and cloud-scale databases such as DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, or MongoDB.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Deep understanding of HTTP/JSON APIs and service-oriented architecture.
- Knowledge of software-defined networking and security.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and delivery practices.
