About your role:
At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Signature Developer, the position requires involvement in regular new product developments as well as adaption activities on existing software. This position is expected to work with minimum supervision, while providing expertise and guidance for other team members.
What you'll do:
Design, develop, install, and maintain Signature core software programs and related applications on the IBM i platform.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, system engineers, and product management to resolve technical issues and deliver new functionality.
Translate requirements into technical designs, estimate time and resources, implement solutions, and produce project documentation.
Manage release activities: implement new releases, maintain existing releases, and coordinate deployment/versioning.
Lead project scoping, design and code reviews, and maintain ownership of assigned projects to consistently meet deadlines.
Analyze specifications for compatibility with other systems, diagnose dumps and production issues, debug problems, and apply fixes.
Follow and enhance development processes; prepare documentation for operations, applications programming, and end users.
Experience you'll need to have:
10+ years of experience in Signature core software development
Experience with IBM iSeries, RPG ILE, RPG Free, SQL Query
Experience with SDLC / DevOps practices
Experience working with Fiserv core banking software and surrounds
Experience in retail banking and core conversion
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience in the financial services industry
Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for back-end and UI components.
Must be focused with the ability to work independently and in teams.
Candidate with a proven track record of producing high quality software against plans and schedules that are being met consistently.
