About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a
Senior Lead Business Intelligence Consultant within
the Data, Analytics and Reporting (DAR) team to support Wholesale Operations. DAR is at the forefront of transforming Global Operations' data and analytics capabilities, championing the modernization of our platform, and adopting
ML and AI techniques. DAR equips our Operations partners with analytic insights, data visualization, reporting, and decision support, all with the aim of driving efficiencies, mitigating risk, and enabling data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives. This position will specifically focus on supporting the operations of Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking Lending Operations.
In this role, you will:- Analytics Strategy & Execution
Design and implement analytic insights and products that delivers actionable insights aligned with the priorities of Wholesale Operations. - Advanced Data Solutions
Lead the development of sophisticated data products, including predictive models, LLM and NLP applications, and advanced quantitative methods to solve high-impact business problems. - Data Storytelling & Influence
Translate complex analytical outputs into compelling narratives that drive executive decision-making and business alignment. - Executive Partnership
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, proactively identifying opportunities where data can unlock value and improve operational outcomes. - Team Enablement & Mentorship
Provide thought leadership and mentorship to analysts and data scientists, guiding them through hypothesis development, analytical design, and insight delivery. - Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with enterprise teams (e.g., Data & Analytics, Risk, Technology) to co-develop scalable solutions, including AI/ML pilots and data governance initiatives. - Culture & Capability Building
Foster a high-performance culture rooted in analytical rigor, innovation, and client-centricity.
- Value Realization & Measurement
Develop comprehensive frameworks to systematically quantify and document the value delivered by analytics initiatives throughout the portfolio.
Required Qualifications:7+ years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Quantitative Analytical Acumen: Strong foundation in statistical modeling, Machine Learning, GenAI, Business Intelligence and operational analytics (e.g. Python, SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Alteryx).
- Big Data & Cloud Platforms: Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud environments Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of Commercial and/or Corporate & Investment Banking Lending data environments, products, and operations.
- Executive Stakeholder Management: Track record of influencing and partnering with senior leaders across functions to align analytics initiatives with business priorities.
- Operational Insight: Deep understanding of operational analytics, including capacity planning, productivity metrics, and performance optimization.
- Matrixed Influence: Skilled at navigating complex, matrixed organizations and constructively challenging the status quo to drive better outcomes.
- Executive Communication: Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear, concise, and impactful storytelling.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Change Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading transformation initiatives and fostering innovation.
Job Expectations:- Ability to work on site per Wells Fargo's standard operating model in the listed location (hybrid schedule - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
