What you will do:
We are seeking a Private Equity Secondaries Investment Analyst to join our growing team in New York. As a dynamic and motivated individual, you will provide foundational analytical support across the private equity secondaries investment lifecycle. This position will offer you a unique opportunity to enter one of the fastest-growing areas of the investment industry.
What you can expect:
Supporting all aspects of the investment process, from sourcing, due diligence, to the execution of private equity secondaries transactions, including the acquisition of LP-led fund portfolio opportunities, single- and multi-asset GP-led transactions, co-investments, and structured transactions
Preparing detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses and investment memoranda
Extensive financial modeling and valuation analyses of portfolio companies and private equity funds across buyout, growth, and venture capital
Actively monitoring existing investments, including regular interactions with managers of underlying investments
Working with the broader team on transaction sourcing, fundraising efforts, and other strategic initiatives
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent required. Outstanding academic achievement at a leading undergraduate program in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity secondaries, or other similar principal investing or advisory roles
Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills with an ability to reduce complex problems and models into key drivers
Eagerness to develop strong investment judgment and build expertise in underwriting private equity funds and continuation vehicles from a secondary investor perspective
Understanding of corporate finance fundamentals and relevant valuation methodologies
Exceptional attention to detail and strong sense of ownership of tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional and polished demeanor, and a desire to work both independently and collaboratively
Strong work ethic and ability to consistently meet obligations and deliver quality work
Evidence of intellectual curiosity, creative critical thinking skills, and adaptability
This position is based out of our New York office. Our organization follows a hybrid schedule and this role will require your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
Note: Prudential is required by state-specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $110,000.00 to $125,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
