The Global Operations (GO) group is responsible for refining processes and redesigning business operations by efficiently utilizing resources to exceed customer requirements and service. Our mission is to integrate, transform, and strengthen the enterprise through automation, risk mitigation, effective controls, and state of the art technological solutions to operate at an optimal level.
Global Operations enables a more consistent, effective, and efficient delivery of products and services to customers across contact centers, payments, and other processes. Working closely with the businesses they support, Global Operations drives efficiency and risk mitigation through process simplification, functional consolidation, automation, and effective controls. The main groups that make up Global Operations are Consumer Lending Operations, Consumer, Small & Business Banking Operations, Wholesale Operations, Shared Services Operations, and Fraud and Claims Management.
Operations goal is to build a more unified, more integrated approach to Wells Fargo's business operations functions focused on enhancing our operational excellence, meeting our regulatory remediation efforts, and better serving customers.
The RoleThe Payments Services Operations Executive is a strategic leadership role within Payments Operations. This executive will lead the transformation and centralization of decentralized functions across the enterprise, driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and enhanced client experience. This leader will influence enterprise-wide deliverables and drives transformation across multiple lines of business. The complexity of the role includes managing high-risk functions, executing strategic initiatives, and engaging with regulators and senior leadership.
This leader will manage high-risk, high-impact functions including the Payments Command Center and Sanctions Screening Operations, and lead the transformation of additional functions such as Client Support & Investigations.
Responsibilities include:• Change Management: Define and execute the Target Operating Model, ensuring smooth transitions, continuity in client delivery, and control adherence. 
• Operational Management: Oversee operational health, talent strategy, risk mitigation, and remediation planning. 
• Payments Transformation: Lead strategic initiatives including platform modernization and automation in Sanctions Screening and other core functions. 
• Client Stakeholder Management: Engage, influence and negotiate with senior leaders across the enterprise, representing Payments Operations in governance forums and regulatory interactions.
Required Qualifications:• 8+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:• At least 10+ years of experience in Operations, with significant tenure in Payments 
• Proven experience building, leading, and engaging high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver large-scale organizational change and transformation initiatives
• Proven leadership in managing Wire Transfers Operations or Product roles 
• Strong background in risk and controls, with knowledge of Compliance requirements for Wholesale Payments 
• Experience managing high-profile projects and communicating with senior stakeholders and regulators 
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale organizational change and transformation initiatives
• Experience with OCC and FRB regulatory engagements 
• Familiarity with technology modernization and automation in financial services 
• Executive presence and strategic thinking capabilities 
• Ability to manage financial targets and drive scalable operations 
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred
Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$250,000.00 - $420,000.00
