Job Overview

This position works within the Engineering Department in an Aerospace ISO 9001/AS9100 registered manufacturing facility to do component cost estimating and quoting as well as planning of work orders, routes, and BOMs using our ERP system. Works in conjunction with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales Depts to perform duties and must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively. Must have experience with MS Excel, databases, and some experience with ERP systems within a manufacturing environment background. Ideal candidate to have related to college education and/or equivalent related experience in similar field. M-F 1st Shift

Responsibilities

Work with procurement to gather and maintain current pricing
Update pricing system data to maintain current material costs for quotes
Use the pricing system and custom Excel spreadsheets to generate quotes
Use ERP system to create BOMs, Routes and planning for work order creation
Collaborate with engineering, production, sales, and procurement teams to gather necessary data for quotes and communications
Be able to use Excel and database information to perform cost analysis
Be able to read engineering drawings to determine material and labor requirements for entry into pricing and ERP systems
Solicit pricing from suppliers for special processes related to quotes

Skills

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments within the organization and outside suppliers
Knowledge and experience with manufacturing MRP/ERP systems is desirable
Proficient with MS Excel and database information gathering
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and following through on tasks
A problem solver that identifies concerns and initiates concerns and initiates corrective action before becoming an issue

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
