We are searching for the best talent for a Head of Strategy and Implementation - GSHR located in New Brunswick, NJ, Tampa, FL, Manila, Bogota, or Prague.
The Head of Strategy and Implementation is responsible for partnering with GSHR Leaders to develop and deliver the GSHR multi-year strategic plan and annual operating and financial plans. This role provides critical oversight and execution of high impact programs across people, process, technology, and capability development. The position requires significant stakeholder management. The role reports to the Vice President, Strategy & Operations and OneHR Leader Asia Pacific. The role is global and cross-functional with partners across all tiers of HR, Global Services and JJT.
The role partners with GSHR LT leaders to shape GSHR’s multi-year strategy, influence key programs and transformations to deliver on the business strategy and is accountable for implementing and delivering programs that require cross functional GSHR orchestration.
The role partners with finance to develop balanced financial plans and orchestrates across HR and GS to align resources and investment to highest impact initiatives.
The role collaborate with key business partners across the enterprise, sectors, and functions at global, regional, and local levels to organize programs for success including team leadership, solutions design, governance, team build out, budget, value realization and stakeholder management.
This leader creates awareness of GSHR’s portfolio health by engaging with a wide range of partners across the enterprise to ensure core projects deliver on value commitments.
This leader will develop a strong pipeline of global and diverse leaders, providing leadership, direction, coaching, and feedback to direct and indirect teams.
Establish and maintain governance structures, risk registries, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Ensure quality audits, metric rigor, and adherence to program governance models
Direct accountability for portfolio governance, transformation programs, and the GS HR Implementation Office
Estimated span: multiple large-scale programs with global vendor partnerships and internal partner networks
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
Own GSHR’s strategic roadmap by developing / refreshing GSHR multi-year strategy based on changes in business context in partnership with internal stakeholders and using external insights.
Provide leadership and oversight to GSHR programs that require cross-functional orchestration by ensuring that integrated plans are developed, coaching teams who own execution, and ensuring value realization across the 3Es – efficiency, effectiveness, and experience.
Influence sponsor(s) and stakeholders on program scope and value, identification and commitment of critical resources, management of program performance and risks, and delivery of value.
Partners with finance to develop balanced financial plans that advance HR and GS strategic strategies and uses portfolio processes to shape the prioritization of investment to highest impact areas.
Ensure integrated end to end connected plans across people, process and technology for high impact programs, including identification and alignment of key critical interdependencies.
Develop cross-functional executional plans and gain business alignment on timelines and resources, including integration to other strategic initiatives outside of program.
Partner with change management and communications partners to develop strong change management plans that consider needs of critical partners.
Establish robust governance with PMO partners, drive risk management, issue resolution, and contingency planning
Guide team in advancing the maturity of project management capabilities across GSHR including risk and interdependency identification and adherence to FPX standard methodologies. Create awareness of portfolio health with senior leaders including identifying, managing, and resolving trade-offs and partner concerns.
Provide team guidance on day-to-day project execution, practice Servant Leadership, and foster a Credo-based culture of inclusiveness through coaching and feedback. Coach a strong pipeline of global and diverse leaders and role-model high-performance and collaboration with team.
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required. An advanced degree in business, or organizational management is preferred
Minimum of15 years of program and strategy design and execution experience including 10 years of direct and indirect people management experience is required.
High impact communication and influence skills are required: Effective communication and strong presentation skills, capable of speaking across various forums and communicating to a broad, diverse audience.
Business acumen: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with highly developed problem-solving abilities to effectively connect the dots is required.
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing large-scale, cross-functional programs is required.
People management and team development: A minimum of 10 years of people management experience and proven ability to develop high-performing teams and lead in a matrixed environment.
Collaborative skills: An ability to connect and manage complexity and ambiguity is required.
Visionary problem solver: Ability to shape and create a future vision, gaining support and alignment to that vision is required.
Global leadership: Strong leadership skills, operating as a global leader with an understanding and appreciation for regional differences is required.
Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and daily planned and unplanned operational activities is required.
Financial acumen: Shown ability to manage budgets and understand complex organizational factors, with the ability to create a value case and manage value realization is preferred.
Process design and improvement: minimum of 10 years of experience in process design, continuous improvement, and transformation is preferred.
Change management: Mastery and a proven track record of leading change initiatives and implementing global projects and solutions, with required change management experience are preferred.
