Information Management Department People Leader

KBR is looking for an Information Management People Leader, responsible for the management of the Wilmington Operations Center (WOC) Information Management (IM) Engineering Discipline. As a front-line leader in this position, with general autonomy, you will:
Be an integral member of the engineering leadership team at WOC, while being independently accountable for the IM staff within the engineering organization
Set strategic and tactical direction with regard to policy/procedures, work force staffing, and budgeting for the IM Department.
Be a 'Thought Leader’ for corporate initiatives for engineering systems, digitalization, and connected data.
Participate in decisions regarding the implementation of existing and new design application technologies through leveraging the WOC IM team and other corporate resources.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
When necessary, assist your team in working with corporate IT to debug hardware and network issues, sometimes related to corporate software upgrades, which affect our design applications. Steward for the development and maintenance of IM Department procedures and policies for the KBR Global IM team, as well as the WOC IM Department.
Facilitation of IM Department workshare with KBR’s global presence.
Provide project technical supervision and approval of project work-hour estimates including documenting basis and risks.
Participate as a working technical resource who provides direct assistance to WOC and client site projects for design applications.
Assist in business development activities, including proposal development, for acquisition of new work.
Participating as an active member of the KBR Global Digital Team, representing the needs of WOC, and learning from and offering solutions to all our global offices.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills (MUST MATCH THE PROFILE CODE – DELETE WHEN POSTING):
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred but not required.
Minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience, with an average of 20+ years utilizing design applications on engineering projects. Proven experience and competency in the following areas:
2D and 3D application design experience
Passion to pursue the application of new technologies for the advancement of our quality and competitive advantage in delivering engineering and design solutions to our clients, especially in the following areas:
Digital Engineering – Optimizing development using models and computer resource skills for designing/developing systems using simulation and modeling, including model-based systems engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps, digital twins, building information management (BIM) and virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR)
Digital Transformation – Having the technical skills necessary to implement new technologies aligned to the business strategy and the leadership competencies required to manage change around data-driven decisions and an agile mindset
Connected Data – Provide engineering systems that allow for the single source of truth for all critical data on a project.
Repeatable Design – Supporting the design one build many concept for manufacturing facilities worldwide.
Proven technical and administrative application support experience.
Leading a team of people, either in a project or department leadership role
Being a team player and valued collaborator in a complex work environment
