The Manager, Global Strategic Planning leads Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Electrophysiology activities surrounding long-range product planning (LRPP) including life cycle management, SKU optimization, and capacity planning. This leader will spearhead strategic leadership discussions to ensure alignment and execution of short- and long-term business goals with cross-functional partners, including Global Strategic Marketing (GSM), Supply Chain, Finance, Regional Commercial teams, and the Project Management Office. This role balances relationship-building, strategic, creative, and analytical thinking to develop insights that raise internal awareness of where our market is heading to position and scale the business to be the leader in the electrophysiology space today and into the future.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct the strategic planning process, ensuring alignment across Global Strategic Marketing, Finance, Regional Commercial teams and Supply Chain to ensure strategic priorities are clearly defined and aligned with overarching long-term company strategies.
 - Develop 5-year Long-Range Product Plan (LRPP) for all product codes, biannually.
 - Drive the vision for new organizational processes to evolve LRPP from a quantitative-only activity into a strategic leadership discussion to assess and inform supply chain decision-making via: risk tolerance/triggers, timing for capacity investment, product usage evolution, and opportunities for product rationalization.
 - Translate strategic business objectives into clear, actionable priorities that empower Supply Chain; enabling the timely investment and development of capabilities associated with resourcing, technical requirements, manufacturing capabilities, investment strategies, and lifecycle/portfolio management to deliver on business growth and profitability targets.
 - Recommend opportunities for SKU rationalization and partner with GSM product management teams and Supply Chain to execute life cycle management activities.
 - Manage and optimize the procedure and portfolio modeling tool, significantly enhancing its reliability and influencing data-driven decisions across New Product Development and business forecasting cycles.
 - Partner with Global Finance to execute annual Long Range Financial Planning activities by providing the global unit demand volume forecast
 - Create and deliver presentations on the global market trends and the global long-range plans. Regularly present to senior leadership.
 - Actively support annual cadence of Strategic Planning events, in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
 - Support GSM, Finance, and global Commercial teams on all enterprise processes, including Business Planning and Portfolio Reviews
 
Qualifications
Education: 
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. MBA and/or advanced professional certifications are preferred.
 
Experience and Skills
Required: 
- 4+ years of relevant business experience required, 6+ years preferred, with experience in marketing, finance, strategy, business development, supply chain or a related field preferred.
 - Experience in healthcare, medical device, or cardiovascular disease area.
 - Role requires a passion for problem solving, relationship-building, customer understanding, and simplifying the complex.
 - High level of intellectual curiosity that drives proactive analysis of market trends and competitive dynamics to develop actionable insights and strategy.
 - Ability to link market, customer and competitive insights to portfolio positioning and pipeline development strategy.
 - High level of communication and presentation skills is required.
 - The ability to prioritize tasks, leading several projects at a time, and eliminating/overcoming unproductive, low priority, or low probability tasks and projects.
 - Experience with MS office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
 
Preferred: 
- Experience in cardiac ablation, electrophysiology or interventional cardiology is preferred.
 - Proven record of influencing across a matrixed organization as result of strong collaboration skills.
 - Experience in financial analysis
 - End to end experiences in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or Manufacturing.
 
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
