 The Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for a Peripheral Equipment Operator to support our NASA NEST contract at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama.
Job Responsibilities and Expectations: Peripheral Equipment Operator
Place Daily Orders from Mobility Depot Queue (Including Loaner Requests)
- Specific: Ensure daily orders, including loaner requests, are placed from the Mobility Depot Queue.
 - Measurable: Successfully place all required orders daily. Condition Inclement weather send email to supervisor will not pick up that day but next day instead.
 - Achievable: Utilize available resources and systems to place orders promptly such as Mobilsense portal.
 - Relevant: Ensures timely acquisition of necessary equipment and resources.
 - Time-bound: Complete order placement daily within specified timeframes agreed upon see Mobile Depot process and Guide.
 
Provide MLSD Fulfillments as Needed
- Specific: Fulfill MLSD (Managed Laptop Service Desk) requests promptly as they arise.
 - Measurable: Ensure all MLSD requests are fulfilled within the specified timeframes.
 - Achievable: Utilize available resources and follow established procedures for MLSD fulfillments.
 - Relevant: Supports efficient resolution of user requests and maintains operational continuity.
 - Time-bound: Complete MLSD fulfillments within SLA requirements.
 
Create Return Shipping Labels for Orders
- Specific: Generate shipping labels for outgoing orders requiring return.
 - Measurable: Ensure accurate creation of shipping labels for all applicable orders.
 - Achievable: Utilize the appropriate software or systems to create shipping labels accurately.
 - Relevant: Facilitates the return process and ensures smooth logistics.
 - Time-bound: Generate shipping labels as soon as remove hardware task is assigned.
 
Maintain Organization of Mobility Depot
- Specific: Ensure the Mobility Depot area is consistently organized and orderly.
 - Measurable: Regularly assess and maintain the organization of Mobility Depot supplies and equipment.
 - Achievable: Implement storage solutions and organizational systems to maintain order.
 - Relevant: Promotes efficiency and accessibility of resources.
 - Time-bound: Conduct routine checks and adjustments to maintain organization daily.
 
Complete Weekly Inventory Counts and Update Inventory in OneDrive
- Specific: Conduct inventory counts every Monday and update inventory records in OneDrive.
 - Measurable: Ensure accurate inventory counts and timely updates in the OneDrive database.
 - Achievable: Utilize established procedures and tools for inventory management.
 - Relevant: Ensures inventory accuracy and supports efficient resource allocation.
 - Time-bound: Complete inventory counts and updates every Monday by end of day.
 
Packing of Outgoing Shipments
- Specific: Properly pack outgoing shipments for delivery.
 - Measurable: Ensure all outgoing shipments are securely packed and ready for transport.
 - Achievable: Utilize appropriate packing materials and techniques for safe shipment.
 - Relevant: Ensures items are protected during transit and delivered intact.
 - Time-bound: Complete packing of outgoing shipments prior to scheduled pickup or delivery.
 
Pack and Send E-Cycle Devices as Needed (Once Box is at 100 Devices)
- Specific: Pack and send e-cycle devices for recycling when the designated threshold of 100 devices is reached.
 - Measurable: Ensure timely packing and sending of e-cycle devices upon reaching the specified quantity.
 - Achievable: Monitor device accumulation and coordinate with appropriate channels for recycling.
 - Relevant: Supports sustainability initiatives and proper disposal of electronic devices.
 - Time-bound: Initiate packing and sending of e-cycle devices promptly upon reaching the threshold.
 
Unpacking, Receiving, and Closing of Remote Hardware Tasks
- Specific: Unpack received hardware shipments, process receipts, and close associated tasks.
 - Measurable: Ensure all received hardware is unpacked, documented, and associated tasks are closed in a timely manner.
 - Achievable: Follow established procedures for receiving, documenting, and closing hardware tasks.
 - Relevant: Ensures timely integration of received hardware into operational workflows.
 - Time-bound: Complete unpacking, receiving, and task closure upon receipt of hardware shipments.
 
Daily Pick Up and Drop Off of Shipments (Incoming and Outgoing)
- Specific: Perform daily pickups and drop-offs of incoming and outgoing shipments.
 - Measurable: Ensure all scheduled pickups and drop-offs are completed daily.
 - Achievable: Coordinate with shipping carriers and follow established procedures for shipment handling.
 - Relevant: Ensures timely and efficient shipment logistics.
 - Time-bound: Complete all pickups and drop-offs within designated timeframes on a daily basis.
 
Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
Ability to follow detailed operating instructions
Basic troubleshooting and probelem solving abilities
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform repetitive tasks
The hourly rate for this role is $20.49/hr
