Caterpillar’s Resource Industries, Integrated Components Division (ICD), has an open Accountant position for the Hydraulics & Cabs (H&C) component group. H&C plays a vital role in supporting Caterpillar’s prime product groups and global aftermarket business. In this role, you will lead financial insights for H&C product development and align with enterprise strategies to increase services revenue and improve Operating Profit After Capital Charge (OPACC). This position partners across the product development group, including engineering, value chain engineering, and lifecycle management, to deliver actionable insights that enhance aftermarket capabilities and contribute to long-term, profitable growth.
What You Will Do:
- Lead complex sourcing and Make vs. Buy investment and benefit analysis, driving OPACC improvement initiatives across the H&C department.
- Manage capital and expenditure analysis, presenting insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide financial analysis support for New Product Introduction (NPI) and aftermarket business initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted business partner to Caterpillar H&C leaders, offering strategic financial guidance.
- Lead financial planning and analysis for the H&C product group, providing strategic guidance and coaching to the Analytic Center of Excellence accountant based in India.
- Develop and implement automated tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of financial reporting and business support.
What You Have:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in – Accounting or Finance and 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of discounted cash flow tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: constantly observing your environment, assessing the effects of changes, and determining how to adapt to them.

- Product cost analysis experience

- This position can be in Mossville, IL or Peoria, IL
- This role is full-time and currently requires five days a week in office
- Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
