As a LAN Analyst for the Solar Network team, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of network-related solutions. You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.
This role will work with the Solar and Caterpillar Network teams.
Location:
Physical work location will be DeSoto, TX.
Position is currently open, and we are looking to fill immediately.
This position requires 5 days a week in office.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Works under the direction of senior analysts/management on systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues and replace defective components as needed
Respond as needed to support requests that relate to LAN development and support
Provide off-shift support for critical incidents. Team members rotate through an on-call schedule, requiring occasional off-shift and weekend support calls
Work directly, as needed, with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure
Implement processes and process improvements to aid in development and support
Follow ITSM process and documentation for all changes
Collaborate with other technical teams as needed to plan and execute changes (i.e., firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC, etc.)
Advise business partners regarding technical questions/issues in the LAN space
Required Qualifications:
Computer-related or engineering-related four-year degree (or equivalent work experience)
3-5 years of progressively responsible roles in the Network Engineering space
LAN implementation and support, knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration
Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches and familiarity with Cisco equipment
Ability to work in a team atmosphere and collaborate with others in a positive manner
Other Desirable Qualifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Wireless knowledge and experience
Relevant work experience with medium to large companies
Summary Pay Range:
$87,456.00 - $131,184.00
