About the team: The Bank Tech Strategy & Operations (S&O) organization is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Senior Manager to join the Portfolio Delivery Operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the operational backbone that supports Bank Tech’s most strategic and complex initiatives. More specifically, you will manage and enhance the processes, standards, and governance mechanisms used by the different bank lines of business. This involves partnering with stakeholders and horizontal technology teams to ensure well-managed, timely, and effective execution of top priorities by implementing and enforcing agile methodologies and best practices. You will be responsible for escalating critical program risks and collaborating with key stakeholders to secure alignment on operational standards.
General Responsibilities:
Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and partners
Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time
Driving capacity management across the portfolio, including establishing and maintaining the definitive total supply of teams and owning monthly capacity reporting
Working closely with Product partners to align on strategic priorities, managing dependencies, and ensuring effective capacity utilization
Partnering with teams on drafting, refining, and finalizing Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) to ensure they are measurable and directly support organizational priorities
Facilitating the delivery of high-quality, monthly executive reporting that clearly communicates portfolio performance, key operational metrics, capacity health, and progress against strategic OKRs to the senior leadership team
Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts and ensure project plans deliver on intent
Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

Masters / MBA degree
9+ years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills
Work experience achieving results with complex projects
Demonstrated experience working closely with Product and Engineering Partners to align roadmaps and drive results in a matrixed environment
Direct experience leading or coaching teams on OKR (Objectives and Key Results) best practices

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr Manager, Project Management
Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
