Analytics & Automation Manager, DPS EMEA Supply Chain Planning
The Inventory Analytics Manager, DePuy Synthes Supply Chain Planning, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) is a critical leadership position to lead our efforts in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our field asset and inventory utilization. This role is essential in maintaining and enhancing field inventory entitlement models, identifying actionable opportunities for supply chain improvements, and supporting the Regional Supply Chain team in aligning forecasts with commercial sales, profitability, and cash flow objectives.
Major Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Inventory Analytics Manager include:
Enhance Analyses for Field Asset and Inventory Utilization:
Create framework to integrate advanced analytical methods to understand and optimize the utilization of field assets and inventory in all its aspects into our operational processes. Maintain Field Inventory Entitlement models to accurately reflect current business needs and market trends. Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Come up with innovative ways to execute on improvements and implement tools to do this using all types of new technologies available.
Lead Automation & Analytics team:
Develop and manage plan to automate analytics activities for asset management processes, manage automation & analytics team to expand and create automation as citizen developers. Oversee implementation and management of tools and automation during their lifecycle.
Collaborating with EMEA Markets:
Partner with team members in EMEA markets to incorporate the Voice of the Customer into our inventory and asset management strategies. Use these insights to develop and refine tools and methodologies that drive operational actions on inventory efficiency within these markets. Focus on translating these customer insights into actionable strategies that enhance inventory turnover, reduce waste, and drive service to our end customers.
Supporting Regional Supply Chain Team:
Work closely with the Regional Supply Chain team to develop and implement forecasts that align with commercial goals. Provide analytical support to ensure that supply chain strategies are effectively meeting business objectives. Infuse citizen developership into the team leading by example.
Partner Engagement and Reporting:
Regularly engage with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance partners to understand their needs and communicate insights. Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor or equivalent experience in Engineering or Science
APICS certification (CPIM or CIRM) preferred.
Master Business Administration or equivalent (Specialization in SC & Operations Management) preferred.
Required experience
Minimum five (5) years of relevant Supply Chain/Analytics experience.
Experience leading and working with a multi-regional and multi-functional team in a global, highly cross-functional environment.
Project management and Program development.
E2E Supply Chain and Planning processes (Demand, Supply, and Inventory Management).
Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities
Critical thinking – ability to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that realizes functional and company goals.
Superb interpersonal and communication skills (incl. to senior leadership) with the ability to adjust to the audience (business vs. technical, professionals vs. leadership) is required.
