Position Summary:
The Account Manager oversees daily operations across campus facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff. This role assists in managing maintenance activities, compliance standards, and vendor performance while promoting sustainability and operational excellence. The Account Manager will help coordinate preventative maintenance programs, support budget tracking, and foster a culture of safety and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks to minimize disruption to academic operations.
- Support sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency programs across campus facilities.
- Coordinate with campus departments to ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues.
- Monitor CMMS for accurate work order tracking and reporting.
- Participate in campus inspections, audits, and emergency preparedness planning.
- Assist in managing vendor contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- Support budget management, invoice review, and cost-control measures.
- Promote a culture of customer service, safety, and teamwork within the facilities team.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in facilities operations, ideally in educational or multi-building environments.
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Understanding of safety and compliance requirements, including OSHA and local regulations.
- Certifications such as FMP or equivalent preferred.
