As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving production‑quality initiatives, resolving complex process issues, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to ensure flawless delivery.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Identify and develop production strategies that reduce non‑conformances and improve yield for the GMLRS program.
- Review documentation and program plans to guarantee that internal and external manufacturing processes meet quality requirements.
- Support product testing, inspections, stock purges, root‑cause analysis, audits, and continuous‑improvement activities at multiple sites.
- Lead or participate in material‑review board meetings, disposition non‑conforming hardware in SAP, and drive effective corrective actions.
- Facilitate and perform ISO‑9001 / AS‑9100 audits, lead DD250 efforts, and interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality issues.

Security Clearance Requirement
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:STEM degree at the Bachelors level or above
Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
Experience developing quality standards, plans, methods, work instructions, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured or procured products
Able to interpret drawings and specifications to apply quality test, inspection methods and work instructions
Ability to support and report/ status multiple ongoing projects at once
Demonstrated understanding of Compliance audit techniques, AS9100 and production line validations
Ability to work independently in job tasks and problem solve using critical thinking skills
Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Demonstrated ability to use Causal Analysis tools
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Effective strong presentation and communication skills, written, oral, listening, technical writing
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Experience interacting with Suppliers, Production Sites, Quality Program Management, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Government Representatives, or other stakeholders
Ability to travel 10% - 25%
Ability to work a flexible schedule

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
