Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to manage the delivery and distribution of packages across multiple facilities and end users. This hands-on role requires strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, and a positive approach to logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the receipt, sorting, and delivery of incoming packages throughout the facility and to designated end users
- Prepare and ship outgoing packages, including FedEx shipments
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries
- Travel locally (up to 10%) to support shipping and receiving needs at other facilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to resolve shipping issues
- Support inventory management and assist with supply chain logistics as needed
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment, such as postage meters, check printers and stuffer.
- Act as point of contact for mailroom equipment repair and maintenance vendors.
- Assist with package tracking by updating, responding and/or assigning cases.
- Assists in the handling of mail services related inquiries either via case management system, phone or in person with professionalism, courteous and a sense of urgency.
- Participate in projects as assigned.
- Escalate concerns or difficulties to the Facilities Manager (will be Wayne's or FM's direct report) with a sense of urgency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Basic understanding of OSHA safety practices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift and move packages and materials as needed
- Detail-oriented with good time management and organizational skills
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations is a plus, but not required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with FedEx or other shipping platforms
- Familiarity with inventory systems or logistics software
- Safety training or certification (OSHA 10/30
Pay: $30.00 - 36.00/hr
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
