Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supplier Quality First Line Manager to support the Supplier Quality Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.
The Charleston Supplier Quality team is hiring a manager to join their high volume, fast paced, team. This team is responsible for the 787 supplier quality investigations. Ideal candidates will work seamlessly with the rest of the management team and be able to step in where needed as priorities shift between the areas of manufacturing. This person should also have strong collaboration skills, customer service attitude, and adaptability.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees and management activities across supplier quality investigations and program integration
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred
3+ years of experience with the Boeing Production System
3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience resolving issues originating in the supply base
5 years of experience in production, quality, industrial engineering and/or supplier quality management
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence executives and cross-functional teams
Collaborative and driven mindset with a focus on delivering results
Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO, AS9100) and supplier quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA) is highly desirable

Summary Pay Range: $114,750 - $155,250
