Leidos’ Defense Systems Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Analyst to join our diverse team that is standardizing production processes across multiple sites in North Alabama.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organized MRP Analyst – to lead and manage production control operations at our Final Integration Facility. This senior-level role provides leadership and expertise in production control, ensuring alignment of materials, schedules, and work orders to achieve complex program requirements.
The MRP Analyst is responsible for managing MRP inputs and outputs across multiple programs, driving resolution of schedule and material conflicts, and ensuring ERP data accuracy. This role also mentors junior planners and provides advanced analysis to support manufacturing execution and delivery performance.

Primary Responsibilities
Ensure ERP system accuracy for all assigned programs, including manufacturing orders, purchase orders, WIP, and inventory management.
Lead MRP and production control activities for assigned programs, ensuring accurate and timely planning of materials and manufacturing orders.
Maintain and optimize ERP planning parameters (lead times, order policies, planning flags, safety stocks) to ensure accurate MRP outputs.
Analyze demand and supply signals to identify shortages, excess, and anomalies; coordinate corrective actions with Procurement and Operations.
Monitor and manage inventory pegging to ensure materials are correctly aligned with project and contract requirements.
Continuously evaluate MRP settings, planning parameters, and system outputs to identify exceptions and issues.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to resolve material and schedule constraints.
Support engineering change implementation, effectivity cut-ins, and obsolescence mitigation.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, MRP exception aging, inventory accuracy) using Excel or Power BI.
Provide mentoring, training, and guidance to junior Production Control Planners.
Ensure data integrity and alignment between Deltek Costpoint ERP and Solumina MES systems.
Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing sites.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience in production planning, materials coordination, or manufacturing operations, with increasing responsibility. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Deltek Costpoint preferred).
Advanced experience interpreting and executing MRP action messages and resolving material/schedule exceptions.
Experience managing multi-level manufacturing BOMs in a complex, project-driven environment.
Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Intermediate level with Microsoft Excel.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering.
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification (or equivalent professional credential).
Deltek Costpoint MRP experience.
Background in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Make-to-Order (MTO) manufacturing environments.
Experience with Windchill PLM software.
Experience with project-based inventory management.
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Power BI.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00
