What does a Manager for Internal Controls at our company do?
The Manager – Internal Controls leads and coordinates the company’s adherence to the regulations of the Central Bank of Brazil. This role will act as a key partner across all business areas, ensuring compliance while fostering a culture of strong governance and risk management.

What you will do:
- Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations and corporate policies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations, Risk, Technology, etc.) to drive alignment and execution of compliance requirements.
- Identify process gaps, risks, and control weaknesses, and recommend improvements to strengthen the internal control framework.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices to proactively guide the organization.
- Provide training and support to teams, internal controls, and regulatory expectations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring the company is well-positioned to meet both regulatory and strategic objectives.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications preferred).
- Strong and relevant experience, ideally with exposure to multinational (U.S.-based) companies and start-up environments.
- Proven experience working with Central Bank of Brazil regulations and Internal Control frameworks.
- Strong background in internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish is essential.
- Strong initiative and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to deliver in dynamic environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration and strong relationships across all levels.
- Empathy, resilience, and adaptability when managing challenges and change.
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities.
