We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented Communications Intern with a desire to contribute and join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate communications, public relations, and content creation. The intern will support internal and external communication efforts that align with the company’s brand, mission, and strategic objectives.
Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
• Strong writing, editing, planning and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of AP style and digital content best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Desired Skills:• Basic understanding of media relations and communications strategy
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• Project-based experience in a communications-related role
• Excellent writing skills (press releases, messages, social media posts)
• Strong communication and public speaking skills
• Employee engagement ideas and demonstrated creative thinking
• Digital and social media experience
• Artificial intelligence knowledge
• Willingness and demonstrated ability to learn
• Familiarity with Public Relations monitoring tools

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
