Description:Manufacturing Support Team Member
What You Will Be DoingThe Fort Worth Aero Portable Tools Trainer provides hands‑on training for all portable tools used by hourly personnel involved with motors, kits, and robots. This role ensures that customers receive the most efficient tool access while maintaining traceability, low operating costs, excellent housekeeping, a FOD‑free work area, and strict adherence to auditable procedures.
Key duties include overseeing the research, purchase, receipt, setup, deployment, and repair of all Fort Worth Aero portable tools, and training repairmen and parts‑requirement personnel on daily operations and tool maintenance.
This candidate will help with the purchase, receive, set up, deployment, and repair of portable tools across multiple MOD locations. They will coordinate with external vendors and tool manufacturers for new tool acquisition, repairs, and improvements. Maintain tool traceability and compliance with auditable procedures.
Training & Instruction: Conduct hands‑on training for portable powered tools (e.g., Seti motors, hand motors, grinders, sanders, paint guns, electric and cordless tools). Teach daily tool repair, cutter changes, and maintenance to parts‑requirement and repair personnel. Develop training materials and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and CribMaster.
Collaboration & Development: Work directly with the Aeronautics Tool Review Board, Hole Prep Center of Excellence, Manufacturing Technology, Engineers, and related departments. Assist in developing, purchasing, and deploying new tools, including robotic technology. Support feeder facilities and coordinate with outside vendors for tool enhancements.
Process & Procedure Adherence : Determine operational sequences for servicing, setting, repairing, modifying, assembling, and testing tools. Ensure compliance with current processes, safety standards, and FOD‑free work area requirements.
Systems & Data Management Maintain accurate records in SAP, CribMaster, or equivalent MRP systems. Generate reports on tool usage, maintenance status, and inventory levels.

• Proven knowledge of material flow principles (scheduling, movement, inventory management).
• Proficiency with SAP or CribMaster (or comparable inventory management system), or other MRP tools.
Desired Skills:• Leadership: Minimum 3 years of supervisory or lead experience.
• Technical Expertise: Component assembly and detailed portable tool repair. Field operations and tool control/management experience. Hands‑on experience with end defectors and Seti motors and general portable tool repair.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and CribMaster.
• Independent Decision‑Making: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make effective decisions.
• Experience in Production Control, portable tool repair, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Shop‑Floor Control, with a focus on portable tool repair of, Seti motors, robots, and end defectors.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
