Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Staff Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, performance, and strategic evolution of enterprise systems within the logistics, fulfillment, and pull transformation space. This role will initially focus on mission-critical shipping, labeling, and printing platforms that are integral to global supply chain and manufacturing operations. These systems, integrated with Oracle ERP and other core platforms, support the production of barcodes, RFID labels, and shipping documentation at scale. System failures can disrupt production and result in significant financial impact.
The Senior Staff Infrastructure Architect will serve as a key point of contact for system and application performance, collaborating closely with cloud infrastructure teams (AWS), ERP stakeholders, and third-party support teams to ensure operational stability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities will include guiding technical direction for system enhancements and cloud evolution (30%), as well as hands-on leadership in front-end and back-end configuration, production issue resolution, prioritization, and system troubleshooting (70%).
As GE Aerospace continues to expand its operations, this role will also take ownership of additional systems critical to logistics, fulfillment and pull, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate technical and business discussions on future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.
- Develop and implement roadmaps and cohesive architecture plans based on current vs. future state analysis.
- Define architectural requirements at the domain level and contribute to infrastructure governance models.
- Design and deploy infrastructure solutions that meet standardization, consolidation, cost efficiency, security, regulatory compliance, and application system quality standards.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to support project development and operational activities.
- Own technical design, configuration, and performance of enterprise labeling and printing applications within the supply chain division.
- Resolve complex production issues as the SME, addressing challenges across front-end, back-end, infrastructure, and integrations.
- Build, configure, and optimize middleware and web servers (Apache, Tomcat, IIS) for high-availability Java and .NET applications.
- Administer Linux and Windows servers for application hosting and system configuration.
- Collaborate with ERP, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless Oracle ERP integration.
- Plan and execute cloud migration initiatives, designing scalable and secure architecture within AWS.
- Manage certificate lifecycle processes (e.g., OpenSSL) to secure communication and ensure system uptime.
- Support IAM protocols (SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth) across integrated applications for secure, federated user access.
- Provide oversight on application and infrastructure roadmaps, technical documentation, and operational standards.
- Balance ongoing enhancements (30%) with operational stability (70%).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of5years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of10years of professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience inInformation Architecture or IT
- Proven experience leading front-end and back-end architecture and serving as SME for escalated Level 3 support, configuration, and production issues.
- Expertise in building, configuring, and optimizing middleware and web servers (Apache, Tomcat, IIS) for high-availability Java and .NET applications.
- Strong Linux and Windows server administration skills for application hosting and configuration.
- Proficiency in Oracle database (PL/SQL) management, performance tuning, and resolving connectivity issues.
- Experience with enterprise identity/access management (IAM) protocols (SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth) for secure user access across integrated ERP systems (e.g., Oracle ERP).
- Knowledge of certificate lifecycle management tools (e.g., OpenSSL) for secure communication.
- Experience planning and supporting cloud migrations (preferably AWS) and designing scalable architecture.
- 10+ years’ experience in enterprise application/ systems architecture and engineering preferably in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

The base pay range for this position is $127,900- $213,200. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 7, 2025.

- Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
- Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, de-commissioning); Ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.
- Able to lead early-stage customer interactions; Guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches and integrate with their legacy tech investments.
- Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people's roles, can foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources and rally teammates.
- Understand how internal and/or external business model works and facilitate active customer engagement
- Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes
- Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.
- Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification
- Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization
- Foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.
- Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities
