Main position objectives
The Export Documentation / Shipper generates the required documentation for export orders. They help to promote the high standard of customer service that Gala Industries, Inc. has built. Ensuring that paperwork for all orders is processed accurately and as required.
Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies
- Prepares the required paperwork for customer orders such as:
- Commercial and Proforma invoices.
- USMCA forms for Canada and Mexico.
- Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading using Shipping Solutions and UPS.
- SED (Shippers Export Declaration) forms through AES (Automated Export System).
- Various forms of documentation for other countries as required.
- Coordinates the signing and stamping of required paperwork through the Chamber of Commerce.
- Applicant will be responsible for coordinating carriers.
- Applicant will monitor packing slips not shipped and reprint packing slips and identification tags for spare parts orders and Misc. shipments.
- Applicant will consolidate multiple packing slips and orders and generate invoices for Coordinated shipments.
- Applicant will be tasked with maintaining Schedule B numbers for items.
- Applicant will work closely with the spare parts group and inventory personnel to manage shipments.
- Any other tasks as assigned by manager.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.
