The Firm
A New Era of AI-Driven, Multidimensional Consulting
Today’s businesses face complex global challenges that demand more than conventional consulting services. Andersen Consulting offers a seamless, multidimensional approach that combines expertise in business transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainability, and digital strategy with Andersen Global’s established tax and legal capabilities. This integration of emerging technologies positions Andersen Consulting as the partner of choice in the $1 trillion consulting industry.
The Role
We’re looking for an AI Engineer to build pipelines to prepare data for machine learning and GenAI workloads on Palantir’s Foundry and AIP platforms. AI engineers at Andersen Consulting interact with client technical teams, internal engagement leaders, and internal product managers to understand client requirements. Their core responsibility is implementing modern machine learning operations (MLOps) and large language operations (LLMOps) systems to support enterprise-scale GenAI workloads. These systems are usually built on Palantir’s Foundry and AIP platforms.
You’ll work within the new Andersen Consulting Global AI practice which is accountable for delivering value to clients through machine learning and GenAI. The team does this by using modern techniques, tooling, and behaviors to deliver value as quickly as possible. Since the AI landscape is moving fast, you’ll be asked to learn new things quickly and accomplish a wide range of tasks, all focused on delivering enterprise-scale MLOps, LLMOps, and GenAI workloads to clients with exceptional quality using the Foundry and AIP platforms.
We understand that narrow and well-defined job responsibilities are good for some people. If you are one of those people, this role may not be right for you. We expect you to:
- Come ready to do the best work of your life and influence your team to do the same
- Deliver MLOps, LLMOps, and GenAI workloads with exceptional quality and be ready to be held to that standard
- Work directly with client technical teams to explore source data and help define technical requirements
- Work closely with internal product teams to implement feature engineering where required
- Recommend, justify, and implement changes to client infrastructure as required
- Define and set the standard for disciplined AI engineering (e.g., LLM guardrails, model interpretability, LLM governance, automated testing for ML pipelines, and continuous monitoring of model performance), continuous integration and deployment, code reviews and writing high quality, well documented code)
- Communicate closely with users and product managers to prioritize and implement new features on behalf of the client
The Requirements
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Engineering mindset, focused on delivering production solutions with GenAI, data processing pipelines, and advanced analytics tools
- A technical background. Preferred fields include but are not limited to Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Machine Learning
- Past experience building solutions with LLMs and a deep understanding of overall GenAI landscape
- Strong coding experience writing high-quality Python code with expert level knowledge of scientific computing libraries (e.g. PyTorch, NumPy, Polars, etc)
- Proficiency in Typescript and Java
- Professional experience working within teams to collectively build and deploy high quality code using the tools of the trade (e.g. Git, Slack)
It would also be beneficial if you have:
- Ability to context-switch, to provide support to dispersed teams which may need an “expert hacker” to unblock an especially challenging technical obstacle
- An ‘engineering’ mindset, willing to make rapid, pragmatic decisions to improve performance, accelerate progress or magnify impact; recognizing that the ‘good’ is not the enemy of the ‘perfect’
- Exposure to learn modern tools in the GenAI ecosystem (e.g., vector databases, feature stores, prompt engineering platforms, LLM orchestration libraries, model-serving frameworks, AI observability tools).
We’re looking for a passionate, team oriented, experienced engineer who’s self-motivated and loves technology. We expect you to do the best work of your life and influence those around you to do the same. We value humility and intellectual honesty in our engineers. In return, you have an incredible opportunity to build experience working on large scale machine learning and GenAI deployments.
