Job Summary
Join a fast-paced, customer-centric environment where your expertise in quality engineering directly impacts product excellence and customer satisfaction. As the primary liaison between our customers and internal teams, you’ll play a key role in driving continuous improvement and resolving complex quality challenges. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across global teams, influence decision-making, and elevate customer experience through proactive problem-solving.
What You Will Do
Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, ensuring timely and effective communication regarding product performance and issue resolution.
Investigate customer complaints, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Provide regular updates to upper management on investigation status, potential impact, and cost implications.
Participate in routine meetings with global account management and quality teams to review claims and share resolution progress.
Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify quality trends and implement preventive measures.
Continuously apply problem-solving methodologies to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Degree Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience desired

Problem Solving: Basic understanding and knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Explains the value of a disciplined approach to problem solving.
Describes problem reporting and escalation practices.
Utilizes accepted procedures for problem analysis and resolution.
Identifies key aspects of problem-solving techniques used in own area.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Working knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Contributes to the development and implementation of specific manufacturing procedures.
Investigates the need to refer potential exceptions upward for review and approval.
Explains the rationale for procedures and standards in own area of responsibility.
Participates in the implementation of manufacturing standards and procedures to one's own function.
Provides feedback for improvement of procedures.
What Will Put You Ahead
Customer-facing or field service experience
Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
Willingness to travel for on-site inspections and issue resolution
Experience in large-scale manufacturing
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
High attention to detail
Experience resolving issues in time-sensitive customer settings
Physical Requirements:
The ability to occasionally lift parts up to 25 lbs. individually or up to 70 lbs. with a team lift
The ability to bend, reach, and squat while performing tasks
The ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks
The ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
The ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods while performing tasks

Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
Travel up to 10% is possible

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
