Job Summary:
Join Caterpillar’s Integrated Components Division as a Reliability & Maintenance Engineer and help power progress worldwide. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind equipment performance and uptime, using innovative strategies and data-driven insights to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges, improve reliability, and implement predictive and preventive programs that keep our operations running at peak efficiency.

What You Will Do:
- Drive reliability improvements by analyzing equipment performance, identifying root causes of failures, and implementing corrective actions to maximize uptime.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using advanced tools and data analytics to optimize asset life cycles.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to ensure maintenance plans align with production goals and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report key reliability metrics, leveraging insights to recommend continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support compliance with safety and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of reliability and operational excellence across the division.
Education requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree in Engineering or Reliability disciplines is a plus.
What skills you will have:
Planning: Extensive experience creating and managing detailed maintenance schedules that minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation. Ability to forecast parts, labor, and equipment needs while aligning plans with production targets and reliability goals.
Problem Solving: Demonstrate expertise in diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical failures using root cause analysis, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and data-driven techniques. Proven ability to implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.
Quality Management: Hands-on experience applying quality standards such as ISO or Six Sigma within maintenance and reliability processes. Ability to integrate quality checks into maintenance workflows to ensure compliance and reduce variability in equipment performance.
Industrial Automation/Automatic Control: Practical experience working with PLCs, automated control systems, and sensor-based technologies in a manufacturing environment. Skilled in troubleshooting automation issues and optimizing control systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Vendor/Supplier Management: Experience negotiating with suppliers for spare parts and maintenance services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Ability to manage vendor relationships to support cost-effective and reliable maintenance solutions.
Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at the Dallas, TX office.

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
