This position is an onsite role based in Plano, TX
The Principal CloudArchitectis responsible for the full cloud architecture and implementation lifecycle process that translates business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based systems, services, and solutions. This role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure design, deployment automation, and platform integration as this role is responsible for crafting technical solutions to address complex business needs in cloud environments.
The Principal Cloud Architect will collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed cloud architecture, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps for development and operations teams. They must possess deep technical expertise in cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), distributed computing, data/database solutions in the cloud, and cloud-native application development, with experience in multi-cloud strategy and governance. A background in enterprise-scale cloud migrations and relevant platform or domain expertise is preferred.
AWS Core Infrastructure & Compute: Expert-level knowledge of AWS compute and container services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Fargate), and storage solutions (S3, EBS, Storage Gateway)
AWS Data & Database Technologies: Advanced proficiency with AWS database services including RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, and Redshift for enterprise-scale data management
AWS Networking & Security: Deep expertise in VPC design, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, and comprehensive security services including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, WAF, Shield, GuardDuty, and Security Hub
Monitoring, Observability & Cost Optimization: Proven expertise with AWS monitoring tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail) and demonstrated ability to implement cost optimization strategies using Cost Explorer, Budgets, and Savings Plans
AWS Solutions Architect Professional preferred; additional AWS certifications valued (DevOps, Security, Networking).
