Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is currently seeking a Data Processing & Visualization Application Engineer to join the Midwest Data Processing & Visualization team in Berkeley, MO.
Boeing Test & Evaluation’s Midwest Data Processing & Visualization team develops software applications and tools for instrumentation system setup and configuration; real-time monitoring; and post-test data processing, storage, access, visualization, and analysis, enabling our flight test operations teams to efficiently produce high-quality data as they validate specially-equipped aircraft and weapon systems.
This requires a wide range of skills, including experience with modern software development practices, user interface design, database design and interaction, management of large volumes of data, operations in real-time environments, and hardware and software integration. C/C++, C#, WinForms/WPF/WinUI/Blazor, SQL Server, Visual Studio, .NET framework, git, and Azure DevOps are used daily to maintain legacy software and develop new applications as needed to support our users.
We’re looking for self-starters who can handle a variety of tasks; troubleshoot software; derive requirements and determine the best path forward even when working from an incomplete work scope; and work efficiently in a dynamic team environment.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience including an Associate or Experienced Level Data Processing & Visualization Application Engineer.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Assist with the development and documentation of software requirements
Develop or modify basic software designs based on defined requirements
Perform system tests to verify operational and functional requirements
Support resolution of software integration issues and production anomalies
Research basic technologies for potential application to company business needs
Work under general supervision, effectively communicating and collaborating within the team to develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve software applications and tools
Develop an understanding of flight test and data processing to better help the operation teams when needed
Use software development practices that increase code quality, maintainability, and reuse
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
2+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or C#
2+ years of experience with agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience troubleshooting application software
Experience with software requirements development
Experience collaborating with users to create software design
Experience leading projects in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team including designers, engineers, writers, product managers and software developers
Active U.S. security clearance ((A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or similar

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range Associate Level: $88,400 - $108,100
Summary Pay Range Experienced Level: $107,100 - $144,900
