This HVAC Application Engineer II is responsible for the creation of custom Air-Handling Unit submittals based on customer order specifications, project schedules and job quotations.
What you will do:
Review approved project plans, specifications, and schedules for a varying customer base.
Design custom HVAC systems to meet customer demand and industry standards.
Manage project scope and bid documentation to identify job specific cost reduction opportunities.
Create submittal packages with the level of detail required by the specific customer. Direct consultation with the customer may be required.
Host coordination meetings between the factory and other stake holders to define a project’s scope and timeline.
Coordinate effectively across disciplines to provide a concise product design. Review submittals processed by others for accuracy.
Provide on-time project deliverables.
Prepare and manage bills of materials for equipment procurement.
Provide engineering support for production. Support includes design drawing reviews, quality audit checks, and basic problem solving/issue resolution.
Provide scope definition and coordinate air handler performance testing.
Support customer visits and witness testing.
Provide feedback to identify opportunities for process efficiency and quality improvements.

Key Competencies:
Proficiency in AutoCad is required.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint).
Experience with applications of various components used within HVAC systems such as coils, filters, dampers, motors, and fans.
Organization and project management skills required to balance multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $65,000 - $118,000 annually
