Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer for their Space and Mission Systems Division located in El Segundo, CA. We are seeking engineers that are passionate about space and motivated to be part of a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that supports the design, development, and implementation of government space products!
This is an opportunity to work in a programmatic/engineering environment using modern technology, architecture, and tools. In this role, you will assist program managers leading and managing multi-disciplinary Integrated product teams (IPT) in the coordination and development of National Command Authority Communication satellites and delivery through end-to-end integration of hardware and software design, test, verification and validation. You will directly partner with customer counterparts and program management to deliver the highest value capabilities.
The role requires a creativity and you will be encouraged to automate manual processes and workflows where possible. The candidate should possess excellent communications skills and work well in a team environment to support the needs of the Program Management Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain requirements, architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
Responsible for assisting program execution, delivery on cost and schedule commitments, and technical management of products from the development, integration, test and delivery of a collection of activities within the program.
Development of strong customer relationships with senior government officials, driving performance improvement through the application of program management best practices.
Support progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and satellite program leadership.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or another related field.
Experience with the software languages C, C++, and Python and/or other programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience interfacing with senior leadership
Experience collaborating on group software projects
Experience in coding software programs
Relocation:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary Pay Range:
Entry Level (Level 1): USD $64,600 – $87,400
