The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Responsibilities: Technician will support Launch Vehicle Processing of the Artemis Launch Vehicles at Kennedy Space Center. This support will include flight hardware assembly operations, and testing and validations of flight and ground systems. Working in a team environment, candidate will work to detailed instructions and schematics to perform work in all aspects of flight hardware. Technician will be participating in training requirements to obtain all necessary certifications to perform assembly work.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and technical training in the applicable area of expertise and eight years of related experience including experience directing other technicians.

Must be able to follow work instructions, interpret engineer drawings and follow stringent work area rules and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills are required. Must demonstrate moderate level of proficiency in mechanical or electrical technical operations. Experience in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to pass SCAPE physical and maintain a security clearance. Must be able to work Weekends and Off-Shifts, if required.
