We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar’s Electrification and Energy Solutions Division (E+ES) for an Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis. In this role, you will be an essential partner and financial advisor to the Vice President of Commercial Development within E+ES. You will manage a team of up to 8 accounting and finance professionals and will provide financial leadership for driving energy solutions growth across the enterprise. The role will help shape a new business and emerging technology within Caterpillar and will not only act as the thought leader but also leave an impactful mark within the new division as well as across the broader enterprise.
You and your team will support a global team of more than 100 commercial and business development professionals with responsibilities for E+ES commercial transactions, customer analytics and digital applications, product support and marketing. What You Will Do:
- Partner and advise the commercial organization to develop and evaluate potential go-to-market strategies and various business models for electrification products and services.
- Partner and guide a cross-functional team to understand business model requirements and define an end-to-end financial and accounting processes, systems, control and governance to support emerging business models at various stages of maturity.
- Work with other segments to deliver a total site solution with products and services that interact with E+ES products and services. Partners could include machine divisions, other commercial facing, digital and technology organizations.
- Develop and maintain pricing methodology and models for various go-to-market models including direct sales, leasing, and services-based offerings.
- Responsible for commercial pricing and risk analysis, services and lifecycle cost, and profitability for E+ES’ outbound commercial pricing. Partners closely with the commercial pricing team to analyze customer and product-level profitability, cost allocations, service model impacts, and margin optimization.
- Responsible for E+ES managed facilities in US and Europe. Provide approval and oversight for monthly closing, quarterly and annual compliance and statutory activities and reporting requirements.
- Responsible for leading annual business plan, quarterly forecast updates, and monthly actuals against plan and forecast for VP organization’s capital, expenditure, and headcount. Advises the business to find cost and resource efficiencies.

- Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
- Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
What Will Set You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline; experience or knowledge of lease accounting a plus
- Progressive Accounting or Finance experience, including cost accounting and budget development
- Experience in business to business services industry a plus
- CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred
- Previous experience supporting commercial organizations
Additional Information:
- The primary location for this position is Irving, TX
- This position requires being in office 5 days a week

Summary Pay Range:
$169,320.00 - $253,920.00
