Role Definition
As Electrical Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the Engineering & Design of Solar Turbine’s Construction Services’ Products. You will involve in the design of the Oil & Gas Projects such as Gas Compression stations project, you will demonstrate designing, implementing, and maintaining Electrical systems within the Oil & Gas industry
The identified candidate will be a member of a cross-functional team that Involves in FEED, Detail engineering, Procurement, inhouse Fabrication and Commissioning activities and ensues all performance metrics are achieved
Responsibilities
The candidate should possess a minimum of 12-15 years of industry experience in engineering / design execution and associated applications. Experience should include significant, demonstrated results leading Electrical design efforts supporting industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation projects and BOP systems engineering and design. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate knowledge of discipline-related industry standards, (e.g., NEC/IEC, ISA, ASME, NACE, API, IEEE) and have experience with standards application across engineering specifications and vendor documentation. Comprehensive familiarity with CAD software packages supporting electrical design and broad knowledge of design and drafting techniques including schematics, diagram generation, and installation details.
• Researching new materials and competitive products. Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
• Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents. Participating in buy-build analysis for product components.
• Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Preparation of basic Single Line Diagram, Layout Plan & Section of Overall plant, Equipment control room building, Earthing Layout, DSLP Layout, Trench Layout etc
- Earthing design, Lightning design, Cable Sizing, Illumination system design, Sag Tension calculation, Short Circuit Force and Bus- bar Sizing as per IEEE/IEC.
- Calculation of Load, Equipment sizing, Calculation & Technical Specs
- Evaluation of vendor Drawings, BOQ estimation, RFQ finalization & evaluation of various components, selection of equipment with best pricing options.
- Flexible and quick to learn global developments in EPC- Oil & Gas projects technologies and adopt.
- Knowhow of IEEE / IEC codes, safety in design/EHS aspects, Electrical domain industry engineering practices.
- Continuous improvement of the design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Provide virtual technical support for shop floor for the orders engineered & commissioning support.
- Team handling & development.
- Flexible and quick to learn global developments in EPC- Oil & Gas projects technologies and adopt.

- The lead is responsible for over-seeing and guiding the team to ensure productivity, efficiency & quality in daily operations.
- Co-ordinating design activities with multi-disciplinary team.
- Responsible for the Review of all the deliverables, timely delivery with highest Quality.

- Cable sizing calculations, Cable schedule, Cable tray routings & fill calculations.

- E&I drawings – Details, Schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams
- MTOs/BOMs, NWD models, Clash checks, Electrical Vendor data studies.
- Working experience with 3D Design Tools: ETAP, SKM, Elecdes, Paneldes, AutoCad Plant 3D. E3D, Navis Works Manage.
Degree Requirement
Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from accredited Engineering Institute.
