Program Summary

Job Summary
As a Logistics Clerk – Medical Supply you will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, distribution, and accountability of medical supplies and equipment. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of medical material requests in compliance with U.S. Army regulations and contract requirements. The position supports healthcare operations by maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring proper handling of sensitive and critical medical items.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming medical supplies and equipment.
- Verify quantities and condition of items against shipping documents.
- Prepare and issue medical supplies to authorized personnel.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels using GCSS-Army or equivalent systems.
- Conduct periodic inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for medical items, including temperature-sensitive materials.
- Prepare and maintain required documentation for all transactions.
- Ensure compliance with Army regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5) and medical supply handling standards.
- Support audits and inspections by providing accurate records.
- Respond to inquiries regarding medical supply availability and status.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and logistics teams to fulfill urgent requests.
- Follow proper handling procedures for hazardous or controlled medical items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years in logistics, supply chain, or medical supply operations.
- Knowledge of medical supply handling and storage requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-Army), Post-Goods Issue Process, Turn-In Process, Put away actions, and Storage Support Functions.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
