About the Fellowship
The Trupanion–Hire Our Heroes Fellowship provides transitioning service members a 12-week, full-time professional experience hosted by Trupanion and paid by the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. Fellows will work alongside Trupanion’s Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) within Business Operations, gaining exposure to cross-functional project planning, prioritization, and delivery.
Upon successful completion, candidates may be considered for a Project Manager role within Business Operations or related teams.
Performance will be evaluated at 6 and 12 weeks, with progress measured on initiative, collaboration, project delivery support, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Business Operations and the Enterprise Project Management team in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives across the organization.
- Assist with intake, prioritization, and tracking of enterprise-level projects to ensure timely execution and alignment with company goals.
- Help build and maintain project documentation, status dashboards, and work-back schedules.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and summarize key actions, risks, and decisions.
- Contribute to operational excellence by identifying process improvements and efficiency opportunities.
- Attend internal project planning and professional development sessions in a hybrid Seattle-based environment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in business operations, logistics, or related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a structured, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Jira, or Microsoft Project) a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Eligible participants must be active-duty military within 180 days of separation and enrolled in the DoD SkillBridge program.
- This fellowship is in-person at Trupanion’s Seattle headquarters three days per week.

Potential Full-Time Role: Project Manager, Business Operations
After successful completion, fellows may transition into a full-time Project Manager position with Trupanion.
Compensation range for this role is $85,000–$100,000 annually, plus eligibility for a monthly performance bonus."
