Role Definition
Seeking a highly skilled and proactive Quality Technician 2 to lead quality initiatives in switchgear assembly operations and new product launches. This role is pivotal in driving product excellence, ensuring process compliance, and supporting successful ramp-up of complex projects.
What You Will Do
Lead and perform in-process and final inspections of custom switchgear and standard control assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
Champion quality activities for new project launches, including first-article inspections, process validations, and documentation reviews.
Analyze inspection data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to reduce defects and enhance efficiency.
Maintain and audit records of inspections, nonconformances, and corrective actions in digital systems.
Conduct internal audits for ISO 9001 compliance and mentor team members on standard work practices.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
Provide training and guidance to technicians and process partners on wiring, assembly, and quality best practices. Ability to assist with wiring if needed.
What You Will Have
Extensive experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in electrical or mechanical assembly.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proficiency in standard work practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Ability to perform repetitive operations.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience with Switchgear or electrical equipment assembly.
Exposure to new product introduction (NPI) or project launch environments.
Ability to lead small teams or projects within a quality function.
Familiarity with lean, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement frameworks.

Summary Pay Range:
$21.65 - $28.10
