Roles and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and lead major initiatives that optimize logistics operations, enhance mission readiness, and ensure full compliance with DoD regulations and policies.
- Oversee and manage the operational and logistical aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between product management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Provide expert consultation to senior leadership, manage complex programs, and drive innovation in a high-impact, results-oriented environment.
- Review status of projects, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
- Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance on the integration of Information Technology (IT), business process reengineering (BPR), and supply chain management (SCM) within the U.S. Army's enterprise systems.
- Provide Automated Information System (AIS) specialized support to facilitate the development and integration of functional requirements for Automated Information System AIS.
- Use a variety of logistics support software applications, database management systems, and languages involving many computer environments and operating systems.
- Employ decision support tools within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC), Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), LDAC Common Development Environment, LDAC Local Area Network (LAN), and/or other DoD logistics systems determined to be necessary to conduct Analysis of Product Support Alternatives (APSA) and assist in the preparation of the Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, logistics, computer science, information systems, math, business, physical science, or other related management / technical discipline
- 20 years of experience in a related field
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
- Must be willing to travel (approximately 25%) both CONUS and OCONUS
- Prior experience with Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in engineering, logistics, computer science, information systems, math, business, physical science, or other related management / technical discipline, and 18 years of experience.
- DAU Advance Certification in Life Cycle Logistics
- Prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, including Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), and Army Vantage Data Platform.
- Prior experience coordinating and collaborating with Headquarters, Department of the Army, Defense Logistics Agency, as well as Army Materiel Command and its subordinate commands.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
