Job Role and Responsibility: Designing, developing, and maintaining electronic trading systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. You will work closely with cross functional teams including Product owners, traders, quants, and developers to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our electronic trading platform. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. In this role, you will act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups. Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking. Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions. Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership. Design, develop, and maintain electronic trading systems to meet low-latency, high-throughput requirements for key eTrading components including order management, Market Data Aggregators, Executions, Offering, RFQs and FrontOffice Algo/Pricing systems. Collaborate with Users, quants, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Conduct performance analysis and optimization to ensure low latency, high throughput, and efficient resource utilization. Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines. Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to deploy and maintain trading systems in production environments, ensuring stability, resilience, and compliance with regulatory requirements. telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Required Qualifications:
Degree required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related technical field.
Amount and type of experience required: Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving application development and implementation experience.
Specific skills required: • 7 years of experience programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python, with a strong emphasis on low-latency, high performance computing
• 5 years' experience electronic trading protocols, order types, market data feeds, and exchange connectivity
• 5 years of experience with networking protocols, multicast, and TCP/IP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering robust and scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Domain expertise coupled with hands-on experience in building electronic trading platforms across any Fixed Income or Equities asset classes.
• Domain expertise in building algo trading systems with back testing framework.
• Strong understanding of market microstructure and various algo execution strategies.
• Ability to partner with senior traders and quants in software engineering various algo strategies in production environment.
Salary: $191,000 - $305,000
