The Executive Director of the SRS Raise the Roof Foundation provides leadership, direction, and coordination for all Foundation events, fundraising efforts and employee/associate engagement activities.
The main responsibilities of this role are to set Foundation strategies in collaboration with the Board of Directors to develop fundraising goals, coordinate event plans, create and sustain nonprofit partnerships, facilitate employee/associate volunteerism opportunities, develop content for Foundation media and digital communications, and report progress and outcomes to the Foundation board and SRS leadership.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Key execution indicators include:
Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle, and lead strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and recognize all donors and prospects. Help plan and execute the major fundraising events for each business vertical and coordinate other events as appropriate that are in line with our customer and vendor base.
Ensure that all donors are appropriately recognized, thanked and receive regular contact and communication.
Collaborate effectively with company colleagues, especially marketing, leadership and development and those that volunteer their time for Foundation events and engagement activities.
Oversee administration of the Foundation endowment and future opportunities to increase its corpus.
Administer the new and renewal funding request process and coordinate with the Foundation board to determine appropriate charitable organizations to fund.
There are no direct management responsibilities of this time.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in community engagement, corporate social responsibility, or public relations, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven success in crafting and executing community engagement strategies at a corporate level within large, complex organizations.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and build trust with a diverse array of stakeholders.
Strong analytical abilities, with experience in leveraging data to inform decision-making and assess program impact.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with success in strategic planning and program management.
Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace and community initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Leadership Training: Completion of executive leadership programs or certifications from accredited institutions, illustrating a commitment to continued professional development.
Global and Cross-Cultural Experience: Demonstrated experience working in international settings or with multinational teams to address community engagement challenges on a global scale.
Industry-Specific Knowledge: Deep understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities related to community engagement within the [industry] sector, enabling tailored and impactful strategy formulation.
Public Policy Acumen: Experience in navigating public policy and governmental frameworks to effectively advocate for community-related
initiatives and drive regulatory support.
Innovative Problem-Solving: A proven track record in leveraging creative and innovative approaches to overcome complex challenges in community engagement, enhancing the company’s positive societal impact.
