Senior Financial Analyst, Capital Markets
Job Description Summary
The Capital Markets Senior Financial Analyst (“CMFA”) will support transactions generated by Cushman & Wakefield’s Equity Debt & Structured Finance brokerage services across multiple product types (i.e. multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hospitality, etc...) and markets, with a focus on the Miami market.
Senior Analysts will support all phases of the financing process, including preparing detailed financial analysis and valuations, assisting in preparing proposals for new business opportunities, and creating marketing materials and offering memoranda for new assignments.
This role will be based in Miami, Florida and the candidate must be available to work on-site in a local Cushman & Wakefield office. Team members may be expected to travel and work outside normal operating hours to meet project deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have the desire to grow in the commercial real estate industry, have a strong background in financial analysis, excellent writing skills, be self-motivated with excellent time management skills to prioritize deadlines, and have a strong work ethic.
Job Description
Essential Duties
- Prepare debt sizings to determine possible financing options for each deal
- Prepare financial models in Excel and Argus for clients which outline valuation, debt, and pricing structures
- Analyze and evaluate rent rolls and operating statements of properties being considered for financing or sale to determine feasibility and valuation
- Understand and review real estate documents (leases, operating statements, rent rolls, loan documents, appraisals, etc.) to determine if any issues/inconsistencies exist
- Prepare pro forma statements and projections which accurately reflect the historical financial performance properties, as well as current and projected future market conditions
- Research, analyze, and evaluate market feasibility for various real estate transactions
- Assist in collecting and evaluating required due diligence for transactions: make necessary inquiries to clients to ensure that required information is provided timely
- Convey all particulars of a transaction (financial projections, market and location issues and tenant analysis etc.) in a formal written debt and/or equity offering memorandum, including gathering client and property information, writing content, creating tables, graphs and charts, and managing the graphic design process in conjunction with a graphic designer
- Generate weekly reports and updates to senior brokers on lender marketing status
- Contact and respond to lender requests/questions
- Collect lender and investor bids and maintain quote matrix
- Participate in marketing calls with lenders and clients
- Play an active role in business development meetings and help coordinate strategies for new business
- Assist in conducting property tours / inspections
- Other duties as assigned
Other Requirements & Administrative Duties
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in accounting, finance, economics and/or real estate, with strong academic credentials. MBA is a plus.
- Combination of education without a degree and corporate work experience may be considered
- 2 to 5+ years of commercial real estate financial analysis and/or finance experience preferably with a commercial real estate firm engaged in consulting, appraisal, investing, lending, or brokerage, Capital Markets experience a plus
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written communication skills developing high-level analysis summaries
- Strong time management, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and work in a high-volume, fast past transaction-oriented environment
- Growth oriented mindset, desire to learn and shares knowledge to help others succeed
- Passion for client delivery, with strong emphasis on producing high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and strong personal initiative to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to function in a team-oriented setting while working independently with limited day-to-day supervision
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advance Excel skills preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours, including some weekends as needed

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $ 78,200.00 - $92,000.00
