What does a successful Sr Director of Operations at Fiserv do?
We partner across the business to translate strategy into repeatable, measurable operations. As Director, Business Operations, you will lead cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and increase the speed and quality of delivery. You’ll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, a catalyst for change and a hands-on operator who builds strong processes, metrics and teams.
What you will do:
Lead operational strategy and execution for assigned domain(s), ensuring alignment to company goals and customer outcomes.
Design and scale end-to-end processes, governance and controls to improve cycle time, quality and cost.
Own performance measurement: define KPIs, build reporting and dashboards, run regular business reviews and drive data-led decision making.
Manage major cross-functional programs from planning through delivery, including stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation and change management.
Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting and cost optimization initiatives; monitor program P&L impacts.
Build, coach and lead a high-performing operations team; set goals, develop talent and create succession plans.
Identify automation and technology opportunities; work with IT/product partners to prioritize and deliver solutions.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements; partner with Legal, Risk and Compliance as needed.
Drive continuous improvement using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) and share best practices across the organization.
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering or related field.
8+ years of relevant experience in operations, program management or business transformation.
Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs and operational change in a complex organization.
Strong analytical skills; hands-on experience with data analysis and building management reporting.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
Experience with project management tools and process improvement methodologies.
What would be nice to have:
MBA or advanced degree.
Experience in financial services, payments, technology or a regulated industry.
Lean Six Sigma certification, PMP or equivalent.
Familiarity with RPA, workflow automation and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
