What does a successful Technical Engineer Specialist do at Fiserv?
You will join the team at our Nashville, TN location and work independently of supervision to devise and develop design changes to our production equipment and systems. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and coordinate all equipment installations, preventative maintenance schedules and document requirements along with instructions. Your role will involve analyzing the production equipment to establish operating data and conduct quality testing. You will review technical proposals and related technical data to determine feasibility of designing new equipment or modify existing equipment.
What you will do:
- Perform and analyze production equipment capability based on production volume
- Support and assist management with organizational initiatives and objectives
- Analyze design requirements and test results to make recommendations for equipment design improvements
- Perform technical evaluations of newly received equipment through automated simulations
What you will need to have:
- A high school diploma or GED required
- 6+ years of progressive maintenance repair and electronic/mechanical troubleshooting
- 3+ years of experience in analyzing equipment for efficiency
- 2+ years of experience installing production equipment
- Experience with using hand tools like drill, screwdriver, and soldering equipment
What would be great to have:
- Associates degree in Electronic Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent Military training and background.
- 5+ years of production maintenance with electronic repair experience.
- Experience with Bell & Howell Inserters
- Experience with Entrust (formerly DataCard), MX, & DX Embossing equipment.
- Experience with Xerox Cut Sheet Printers.
- Experience with Laser Engraving equipment.
Important info about this role:
- You will work an assigned schedule on 1st shift; 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
- Flexibility in schedule to work required overtime that includes weekends and holidays.
- You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
