Description:You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Ground Support Equipment team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑performance solutions for the Terminal High Area Altitude Defense (THAAD) Program within Lockheed Martin’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that sites and suppliers meet contractual manufacturing requirements while driving product readiness across the THAAD program.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide Design‑for‑Manufacture (DfM) input and transition new or revised designs from development to production
- Evaluate designs for producibility, resolve technical manufacturing issues, and lead process validation activities
- Conduct cross‑functional make‑or‑buy assessments to deliver optimal value for the customer and Lockheed Martin
- Create and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOMs) and drive cost‑reduction initiatives
- Identify production risks, develop mitigation plans, and deliver manufacturing support to both internal factories and suppliers

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data.
• Ability to travel domestic and international - 25%
• Active Secret Clearance OR ability to obtain Secret Clearance
• Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced development and production environment
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination and program liaison tasks
Desired Skills:• Experience in Electrical Assembly, Mechanical Assembly, Machining, and related Manufacturing processes.
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Process improvement experience
• Experience with government customers
• Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities
• Ability to lead and influence without direct authority across cross-functional teams

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
