ACCOUTANT
Responsible for applying knowledge and skills to complete detailed analysis of project and financial information. Program Planning and Control analysis for various contract types and sizes, interacting with all levels of Project Management and colleagues in other functional areas/departments. Activities include:
- Perform unique and complex accounting and analytical tasks, including accruals, revenue recognition and result analysis, Billing and Billing coordination, account reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting
- Analyze cost trends to correct errors and provide forward guidance to maximize revenue and profit and minimize cost variances.
- Read and input data into a tracker used for historical reference of contract actions and changes received in contract award and modification documents
- Review timesheet labor entries for mis-coded time and anomalies
- Review non-labor reports for unusual variances
- Maintain a tracker used for historical reference of material requisitions
- Maintain a tracker and follow up with cost re-class requests sent to our shared services
- Review, code, and approve purchase requisitions
- Confirm accuracy of obligated cost to project
- Perform weekly evaluation and validation of labor and non-labor related project cost
- Develop and control baselines, budgets, and forecasts using program resource estimates with appropriately applied rates and factors.
- Monitor schedule/milestones to facilitate estimates at complete (EAC) and process scope changes.
- Develop price/cost estimates utilizing complex pricing concepts and applications.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), perform maintenance and charge number control.
- Analyze program funding requirements and track subcontractor costs and vendor invoices.
Application of FAR, CAS and government accounting standards. - Accurate and timely completion of required internal and external reporting requirements
