Special Announcement: It was recently announced that PSLD Lafayette operations will be moving many of their positions to the facility in Lebanon, IN over the next two years. These positions are included in the upcoming move.
As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk III oversees the shipping process and provides training and support for the shipping department through verifying quantity, quality and labeling of products and merchandise ready for shipment. Also serves as a point of contact and expert for international shipping.

This role is for 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm

Potential quarterly attendance bonus of $600

What You Will Do
Coordinate Domestic and International Shipping requirements
Order filling, processing, storing/picking of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies
Operating automated packaging equipment, paint line operation, shipping and receiving
Multiple systems interaction
Validate accuracy of receipts to supplier packing lists
Identify expedited parts
Prioritize receipts based on receiving schedules
Resolve grief by working with accounts payable and material coordinators in supply chain on receiving discrepancies
Interact with carriers
Schedule outbound loads
Coordinate with logistics and external carriers to set up expedited shipments
Ensure accurate counts are recorded prior to any movements into or out of the finished goods inventory
Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
Operates electric hoist, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes to assist in loading or moving materials and products
Develops a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accident-free workplace and ongoing housekeeping excellence
Physical Skills: Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds individually, or up to 70 pounds as a team lift, and work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures. Work at heights of up to 30 feet from the floor. Push/pull product weighing up to 50 pounds for intervals of 10-15 minutes. Climb on and off order picker, reach truck and/or sit-down forklifts multiple times per day. Walk, squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation. Stand up to 8+ hours per day on concrete floor with or without limited movement. Climb up and down ladders of 6 feet with handrails and work in an environment with noise levels averaging up to 85 db per 8 hours.
What You Have:
Safety: Conducts daily maintenance and keeps tracking safety logs on equipment. Inspects working environment to promote safe work area. Utilizes personal protective equipment required or recommended for task at hand. Speak up if safety concerns are encountered. Takes personal accountability for safety.
Warehouse Management: Performs basic warehousing activities such as receiving, putting away, picking, packing and shipping materials. Understand and meet daily targets relative to role. Maintains item and inventory management records. Helps problem solving bottlenecks and delays through continuous improvement. Uses handheld scanners to assist real-time inventory software, to ensure accurate material levels are maintained.
Collaboration: Work together as a team to help each other learn and meet shared goals. Come to work with a positive attitude and ideas for continuous improvement.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Responsible for inventory accuracy. Learns from mistakes and applies lessons learned. Uses checklists to ensure that information goes out error-free. Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to properly perform quality checks; Focus on accuracy to provide our customers with the best possible experience.
Effective Communications: Uses verbal and non-verbal communication to receive direction and share ideas and job-related needs. Always demonstrate effective communication in a professional demeanor. Maintains focus on the topic at hand with a teamwork outlook.

Starting wage is $22.25/hour (additional night shift premium for off shifts). Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half (some may be mandatory).

Summary Pay Range:
$22.25 - $27.75
